heres a tough one
you have two rooms, room a and room b. you enter room a and there are 3 light switches [1,2 and3]. when you enter room b there are 3 light bulbs in 3 different lamps, you have to figure out what switches connect to what light bulbs. there is no way to look into room b from room a and once you enter room b you can not go back into room a and there are no windows or anyway to look from either room to the other. how do you figure out what switches go to what bulbs?

Turn light switch 1 to the ON position for a few minutes, then turn it off. Then turn on switch 2, and go upstairs. The light bulb that is off and hot is attached to switch 1. The one that is on is attached to switch 2, and the one that is off and cold is attached to switch 3.
